Congratulations to the dcua team on their victory at the Space Heroes CTF 2024 — an international online cybersecurity competition held in a jeopardy format, covering a wide range of practical challenges in web security, cryptography, reverse engineering, vulnerability exploitation, and digital forensics.
The event was organized by Florida Tech in collaboration with the Hack Space Con ’24 conference, hosted at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, USA.
The open online tournament attracted 614 teams from various countries, with no age or geographical restrictions, making it an important platform for skill development and knowledge exchange among cybersecurity professionals of all levels.
The dcua team secured 1st place with 11,521 points, demonstrating strong practical skills and consistent performance across all task categories.
Space Heroes CTF is one of the key annual events organized by Florida Tech, featuring challenges of varying difficulty — from basic to expert — aimed at testing a wide spectrum of participants’ competencies in practical information security. The victory of dcua in such a large-scale international competition once again proves that the team is ready for serious challenges and can successfully compete on the global cybersecurity stage.
